ANNIE
A 1% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final Sales Price. All applicable taxes will be assessed based on the sum of the sales price and buyer's premium.
The sun shines bright on this Kentucky mule! Boomin Annie Okie is a beautiful red roan molly mule coming to you from Kelso Mules in Murray, Kentucky. Eight years old in the Summer of 2025, Annie stands 14.3 hands. Annie is by the Scooter’s Tomahawk Jack and out of Blue Jane Pepto, a gray AQHA registered Quarter Mare that is a great-granddaughter of the original Peppy San Badger. She is super easy to be around and does not mind dogs or traffic. Annie is easy to catch, load, and shoe. She has more buttons than a button factory: neck reins, side passes, takes both leads, walks, trots, lopes, and backs. Annie is good with her ears and will stand untied to be brushed, saddled, or mounted. She rides off with ease and has been trail ridden extensively in the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee, as well as the mountains out West. The sixth generation Kelso name is synonymous with good quality mule stock, and we stand behind what we sell. On any given day, we have about a hundred mules in inventory. We think Annie could be the gentlest and most well-trained mule we have ever owned. She will be the same when you get her home as she is represented on sale day. We are proud to offer Annie for your evaluation. Feel free to call us anytime or come by the farm before the sale to check her out for yourself. Contact Jody Kelso (270)-293-0691 or mail@kelsomules.com.

NOMINATION GRADING PROCESS ~ TOP MULES SELL AT SALE
Mules are nominated starting November 1st and only open until full. All mules are then scored and accepted based on our scoring rubric.
NOMINATION RUBRIC (click to view)~ the higher the trainer & their mule score, the better their chances are of selling at our sale. Quality over quantity!
The rubric consists of 10 scoring areas: Trainer Status, Loyalty, Pedigree, Age, Ownership, Photos, Description, Conformation, Disposition, Performance/Riding Ability
+3 “Superior” is the score to shoot for in each category.
Our job is to ensure each mule is a good fit for our sale and buyers as well as our sale is a good fit for all mules and trainers alike.
Sifting Process @ the Sale
Age – Vet examined
Sound of limb – visible unsoundness, structural problems or unsoundness, including but not limited to ringbone (not to be construed for a pre-purchase exam).
Sound in wind (no cribber or wind sucker)
Arena work – Catch, bridle, saddle, pickup all 4-feet easily, ride off with tight cinch – lope away no problem.
Minor abrasions, cuts, or sores may be sifted unless it is likely to heal normally without
veterinarian treatment and cause no long-term threat.
Trainer understands that if their mule doesn’t pass all stages of Premier Mule Sales’ sifting process, they will be pulled from the sale and consignment fee is forfeited. Sifting includes the trail course and any other events MM Auction Services sees fit. If we decide they’re out, they are OUT! Bring your BEST!
Sale Exam
Trainers are required to provide a sale/soundness exam completed by a licensed veterinarian no less than 1 month prior to sale day to our office via email. This exam will be viewable on each mules profile page on our website.
X-rays – A vet will be on site for all Buyers imaging needs. Buyers understand that if they want any images of mules, they will schedule with the vet and trainer to have those done ahead of sale day at buyer’s expense.
As provided in the Standard Conditions of Sale contained in the Sales Catalogue and on our website, each Lot purchased is purchased, at the fall of the hammer, with all defects and deficiencies, latent and patent, subject to the exceptions set out in the said Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale, or, announced prior to the auction of a Lot. The Buyer acknowledges that it is his sole responsibility to determine the quality, accuracy and completeness of the vet exam and to obtain independent advice with respect thereto from a registered veterinarian.
