He was also the nation’s leading maternal barrel sire of the decade. Standing at 15.1 hands and weighing 1200lbs, Dijon is the ideal performance/trail riding horse. He has a very loving, kind personality and loves people. As a two year old, my husband and I bought Dijon with 30 days of riding and began using him on the ranch. Dijon has been used for all aspects of ranch work such as gathering large pastures, sorting in the alley way, roping and doctoring cattle, dragging calves to the fire at branding, and halter breaking colts. He walks through water, opens and closes gates, and has seen all aspects of wildlife and never bats an eye. Dijon is on his way to becoming a competitive barrel horse. With very limited runs, Dijon has placed in the 2D and 3D at local jackpots and continues to get faster. He has a very fun roll back style that is easy and fast.
