PLAYBOYS FOXY
PLAYBOYS FOXY or Cowboy, as he is known around here, is a 4 year old Red Dun Gelding. He stands at 15 hh. His papers are the perfect mix of DRIFTWOOD and HANCOCK – so you know this is a horse that loves to work! Cowboy, who was named by our son, has been gentle from the day he was born. He was born, raised and trained on the Meston Ranch by Jenner and Wade Meston. At just 4 years old he takes everything in stride and acts like a seasoned veteran. He is an easy horse to have around with zero buck or spook. We have used Cowboy in every aspect on the ranch from calving out cows to branding and sorting and everything in between – he is our go to horse. Cowboy is an extremely nice head horse and his calm personality carries into the roping pen as well – staying super quiet in the box and leaving flat. We have heeled a lot of steers on him as well and he wants to cow up and stop very strong. Everyone in our family has been involved with this young gelding – our 4 year old son always wants to lead him, Kelsey heads on him, Jenner ranches and ropes on him and Jenner’s 65 year old father ropes and rides him as well. Cowboy ground ties very well in the field and is trained for a mounting block or will side pass to the fence to make for easy mounting. Time off doesn’t bother Cowboy, he is just the same reliable horse day in and day out. He will cross water and push his way through the toughest of bush.
