FANTASYFEATHERSILVERSTRIKE
Real Life Unicorn! Fancy – Gentle & Family Safe – Versatile. Hairy Potter – 2017 silver dapple tobiano registered Gypsy Vanner gelding. 14.3 hands. If you’re looking for gentle, safe, and reliable then Potter won’t disappoint! Whether you want to go on a relaxing cart ride, ride down the trail or in the arena, work cattle, or take a new rider on their first ever horse ride, Potter is versatile and kind enough to do it all. Not only that, but Potter comes from a history of greats! His grandsire was the 2010 Ft. Worth World Champion and was voted Ambassador for the entire Gypsy breed. Potter has every button you could ever want, but will also tone it down for a beginner and is extremely user-friendly. This gelding is fancy broke with a collected headset on a draped rein, sliding stops with just the word “whoa”, cute spins, lead departures, a one-handed neck rein, and nice gait transitions with three smooth and easy gaits. Potter knows his leg cues and will side pass and yield his fore and hindquarters. As good out of the arena as he is in, Potter has no problem tackling busy roads or winding trails. He has spent many hours on trails with all different levels of riders and will cross any obstacle, will go right where he is pointed, and isn’t buddy or barn sour. He is the go-to horse whenever beginners or inexperienced riders want to go on a ride. Potter has been hauled all over with us to rodeos and handles it all with ease. He lopes a cute barrel pattern and is fought over by all the kids wherever we go. He has given children as young as 6-years-old independent riding lessons and is happy to plod around the arena all day long- especially if some scratches and treats are involved! Potter is fun to work and rope cows off of, will side pass to open and close gates, doesn’t hesitate to go over bridges & deadfall or through water & brush, has been used to start and flag colts off of, has roped and held calves to be doctored, and has tracked calves out of the breakaway box. He would no doubt be a valuable hand out on the ranch. He has competed in Ranch Horse Competitions in Stock Horse Pleasure, Stock Horse Trail, Stock Horse Reining, and Working Cow Horse and loves to show off his amazing versatility. Potter is also good to drive and has been hooked single, double, and three-abreast. He will stand quiet and patient to be harnessed or saddled, no matter how long it takes, and is happy to side pass over to the fence or a mounting block so you can get on. Potter carries a flag and could easily excel as a queening horse, in parades, or in grand entry at Rodeos. On top of his already overwhelming resume, Potter went through some mounted patrol horse training and received a certificate for walking through fire, smoke, sirens, barking/charging dogs, etc. Bareback, bridleless, English, Western, double, or even triple, Potter will ride however you fancy. Everything he does with a bridle, he will also do bridleless- you can catch, saddle, ride, and put him away totally at liberty- no halter or bridle needed! As wide as he is tall with great conformation and thick bone, this gelding will have no problem carrying any size rider. Whether you ride him everyday or every other month, he will saddle up and ride off the same as you left him. A total babysitter, Potter is one of the friendliest horses you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. He lives to please and will leave the herd on 20+ acres to meet you at the gate. If possible, he would follow you into the house and lounge about with the family for movie night, especially if there was food involved (He is a foodie!). Potter knows a variety of fun tricks including smile, bow, lie down, and sit and has the aptitude to learn as many as you can think up. He loads and unloads himself, is easy and uncomplicated to haul, is great for the farrier, is a gentleman to be clipped, and will stand for hours to be bathed and pampered. Potter is built to last and has always been 100% sound with no health problems. He is UTD on dental, shoeing, vaccines, and comes with a current clean bill of health and soundness as well as a full set of recent x-rays so you can rest easy. We are more than happy to invite potential buyers to our home to meet Potter. We pride ourselves in offering quality horses to forever families and strive to help you in ANY way we can- even after you take them home.
