ZANS SHINING GUN
ZANS SHINING GUN, aka, Shiner, is a 2019, stout, buckskin gelding standing 15 hands tall. He is AQHA papered, out of NRHA money earner SL SPARKS FLYING, with names like SHINING SPARK, GRAYS STARLIGHT, PLAYGUN, HICKORY TEN, LENA SPARK, DAINTY STARLIGHT, and CHELSEA LENA all residing on his papers. Shiner himself is an RHAA money earner, and a cool dude. With plenty of bone, four black feet, and a spectacular mane and tail, Shiner has the breeding, the look, and the personality to do anything you choose. If you are looking for an ALL-AROUND horse, this is the one. Shiner is easy going, will stand tied all day, pick up all four feet, ground tie, and everything else that consists of one being broke on the ground. He has had the long days ranching on him, dragging calves, roping outside, you name it. Part of his easy going personality means that he will go wherever you point him. He will guide you through the brush, carry you across creeks, and hold up well on the rough, rocky terrain. Shiner is truly a horse that no matter what the day consists of, you can throw leather across him knowing you are mounted. Shiner rides around one handed, works a cow, has sorted, boxed, and been down the fence. He changes leads, hits an easy lope, or will trot for miles if you need him too. What makes shiner unique is that he will ride as slow and easy as you want, or can be turned up to show or go do a job. When lower level riders come out, we usually put them on shiner with a loping hackamore or bosal and let them go. Also, if you want to show off you can slip the bridal off and have some fun. Shiner is owned and ridden by 21 time AQHA Champion (16x Versatility Ranch Horse), Jody DuBois. Adding to his all-round resume, he has spent time as well with a professional barrel horse trainer. After returning to the ranch, he immediately went to spring works, and then hit the road for some ranch horse shows, cashing a check at only his second show ever, and showing true versatility. He will continue to be shown in VRH and RHAA competitions until sale day. This horse has the potential to really excel in whatever direction you go with him, whether that is roping, barrels, cow/ranch horse, etc. He wears our brand on his left shoulder, and has no secrets.
