COFFEE
We call this handsome dark brown john mule Coffee. Even at his young age of 4, he has a sweet disposition and a great mind, and, he has his whole life ahead of him. He is quiet and careful, but has a nice fast walk that really covers ground. He rides out by himself without any hesitation or fuss. Coffee is the size everyone is looking for at 15 hands. We have used him for riding and packing and this mule is talented and handy. If you are looking for a show mule, Coffee would make a good one. He knows his leads and will move off your leg. He naturally carries his head nice and low, reins like a horse, has a nice turn around, a great lope and a sliding stop. He will pony another mule or a horse and has lead a short pack string. He has moved cows and has roped in the branding pen. Coffee aced the extreme trail course and he crosses standing or rushing water and any type of bridge safely and carefully. He loads and hauls without issues. We have hunted on him in the precipitous canyons of the Deschutes River in Oregon, trail rode him in the Cascade mountains, scouted elk on him in the Salmon River country and hauled him to Arizona to ride the desert canyons of Yavapai County. Coffee is out of a pretty little large standard jack and a cowhorse bred registered Quarterhorse mare. He is registered with the ADMS. About anyone could get along with this nice john mule. He is friendly as a pet pig, loves everybody, catches you in the pasture and begs to be messed with every day, no matter how hard you work him. He is up to date on hoof care, vaccinations, dewormining and dental care. We’d be happy to show you this nice mule at our ranch in Oregon or come take him for a ride at mule days.
