Frio is a 2019 Draft Cross Gelding registered with the IDSHR. Standing 16.2HH this boy is BIG, BLUE and BEAUTIFUL! No matter your goals, preferred discipline, or riding atmosphere, Frio has the confidence and athleticism to make your dreams a reality. In the arena, he is an elegant mover with a canter that you can sit for hours. His smooth transitions, lead departures and willingness to work strongly support why I believe he would make a great dressage or western dressage prospect. He will pivot on his haunches, stops with ease, and will back up for days. He has been ridden extensively in the arena both under English and Western tack and has also been to a few schooling shows. Frio will lay down as a party trick, or to be mounted! You can swing a rope, throw balls at him, ride next to machinery or even move cattle on this guy. Frio is the definition of versatile. I’ve personally enjoyed many miles on the back of Frio through the Sam Houston National Forest, where we’ve encountered cyclist, dirt bikes and various wildlife. No matter the obstacle or terrain, Frio will go anywhere you point him without hesitation. He crosses all types of water, bridges, logs, and brush! He is surefooted and his main priority is the safety of his rider. He will stand tied for days to be loved on, groomed, and tacked. He is a complete gentleman for the farrier and the vet.
