We have done a little bit of everything on him and he has seriously seen everything with our menagerie. He is very trained in the arena and simply amazing outside. Southbound is naturally low headed and lopes beautiful circles on a draped rein. He has great direction and guides right where you point him. He has a deep sliding stop, stylish spins, and his lead changes are automatic. Southbound reads cows great and is good out of the herd and down the fence. He would make a really fun horse to go show in the Cowhorse and Versatility events. Southbound has a really neat pedigree! He has always been our go to if a family member or business man wants to come play cowboy for the day. He always rides like a saint and forgiving to any mistakes. Southbound has been ridden all over our MT and AZ ranches. We have used him and depended on him in all aspects of ranch tasks. You can rope, drag, and tie on solid. Open every gate, drop a rein and ground tie all day, sort pairs, gather cattle, and just enjoy the ride while your in the saddle. Making a neat switch end rope horse- with a lot of style and finesse across the pen! He’s a fun horse everyday. Southbound has been trail ridden a lot and enjoys leisurely cruising throughout the desert. He’s confident alone or will lead or follow a group. He’s patient and kind everyday. Has confidence in the city around the bright lights and around blowing tarps, crazy dogs and loud gunfire. He will calmy cruise down busy highways with traffic and bicycles.
