Families NEVER receive a bill for treatment with St. Jude so they are able to focus on recovery and being together as a family. We do this every year through Premier Horse Sales in hopes that more families are able to get the medical resources they need, without the tremendous burden of endless medical bills weighing them down. This year, we have chosen TWO of our nicest geldings to date to be our St. Jude ambassadors! We call this fancy red dun rabicano gelding, Venom, and he catches eyes every place we go! With a mane down to his nose and that unique roaning, it’s hard not to stop and look! “Venom” checks all the boxes for us; eye appeal, versatility, and an exceptional temperament. He is at the prime of his life at just 8 years old, standing 15 hands, and weighing around 1150 pounds. Venom has packed us across the Sandhills for several years now and is truly our go-to horse when we need something dependable and multitalented to use on the ranch. We haven’t kept him hidden in the hills all these years though, he is well versed in the arena and loves a trip to town to see the sights. Brush the snow off his back and hop on. He is the same ride be it summer, winter, or spring! If you are looking for something elegant enough to hold his own in the show pen, yet confident and safe to ride trails alone, look no further! Many times it’s difficult to find a horse who is just as good in the arena as he is out on the ranch and Venom is one of the few TRUE universal horses. Take him and show him on the weekend, and Monday morning, he’ll be ready to hit the trails or get to work on the ranch. Venom has exceptional horses backing his pedigree as well! His grandsire, Mr Blackburn 946, is a NDQHA reining champion, and has ROM AQHA points in reining, working cow, barrels, and poles. With exceptional foundation breeding backing him, it’s no wonder he is as good as he has proven to be! We cannot wait to show him to the world and help him find his forever home this December.
