Looking for a gentle, big boned, stout one? Here she is! You don’t find them this pretty very often. Amera is a big and thick 15.1hh 5 year old mare that is an absolute sweetheart. She’s been in my string for a year and a half and has always been one of my favorites. She’s smooth and gentle ride for day working. She is gentle enough you can put a beginner on her and she will ride off gentle for them. She’s been at the feedlot, at the sale barns, on the trails, used gathering pastures, the whole deal she’ll do it. She’s been a little herd bound lately, not bad but I’m fixing that little deal. She’s got a scar on her back right leg from some barbed wire she got caught in. She got a shallow cut on the back side of her leg from it and it grew a bit of proud flesh, but now it’s closing up nicely. I had the vet check it and he said it’ll always be a bit puffy there from the scare tissue, but she will always stay sound and I’ll guarantee her sound. She’s never made a lame step even when it was a fresh cut. I’ll guarantee you she will not disappoint with whatever task you throw her way. She stops, turns, backs up, side passes both ways, walks, trots, and lopes all with ease. Our vet saw a tiny little blue spot in her eye but confirmed she has full sight and it doesn't affect her.
