Willy
Ready for your next mountain or canyon trail adventure? Willy sure is! Willy is a nice, stout john mule that is coming 6 years old. Standing 15.2, Willy has the height and build to suit any rider. Outfitted in a classic seal brown coat, Willy sheds out beautifully. Gentle as a good dog and sweet as sugar, Willy loves attention and doesn’t mind you playing with his ears, doing flips off his back, crawling underneath him, or dismounting by sliding off his rump. Don’t let his in your pocket personality fool you though, this mule will go where you point him, trots out nice, and is a sure-footed, hard-working mule. Willy has been used extensively in the Colorado San Juan Mountains and Oklahoma Ouachita Mountains, both packing and riding. Serving as a guiding mule, Willy is willing and can lead a string with no problem. Finish guiding on him, and you can turn right around and pack out an elk head on him. Willy is ready for all the adventures of your dreams! He crosses water, bridges, navigates rocks and step embankments with ease, will pull a log, and is un-phased by tarps and other “trail trash.” He rides in just about anything, a halter, snaffle, war bridle or shanked bit. Topping his willing nature off, Willy has a nice stop. He has been tied to high lines, is easy going in a herd of horses and mules, doesn’t mind dogs riding out with him, and loads and hauls like a champ. Sound as they come, Willy does have a minor blemish above his left eye from a scrape as a colt. This has no impact on his soundness, well-being, or performance. Well-mannered on the ground, Willy will greet you in the lot, has no issues picking up his feet, standing to be saddled, or taking the bit.
