Jack Frost

Jack Frost is an 11 year old, 16 hand dapple grey John mule. Whether you want to work on the ranch, go to the show ring, or trail ride, Jack Frost will get you noticed! Jack’s gaits are incredibly comfortable to ride. He has a nice slow jog and rocking horse kind of lope. Jack works off seat and leg pressure well, as well as neck reining and direct rein. He’s had extensive trail miles across the country. He’s been trail ridden in TX, KY, IN, IL, MT, and WY with experienced and inexperienced riders alike. No matter what kind of terrain you have, he will handle it with ease and grace. Jack is happy to ride anywhere in the group or out alone. He’s ponied many colts in the arena and on the trails too. Jack has shown in a variety of events. Most recently he competed at the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo. He competed in Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure, Reining, Trail, Ranch Riding, Youth WP, Youth Mulemanship, Youth Reining, Youth Trail, and in the open ranch classes against horses. Jack excels in the rail and pattern classes. His youth rider had never ridden him prior to the show, and he was able to pick right up and successfully show and place on Jack Frost against long time mule and rider teams. Want to get a little ranchy? Jack is familiar with cattle, has gathered, pushed, and sorted, as well as pasture roping. He will open and close gates and moves his body easily when asked. He has started tracking the roping dummy in the arena. Jack has a great mind. He side passes, backs, turns on forehand or haunch, has a nice stop, and can even be ridden bridleless! He hauls well and will load on a step up or ramp. He stands tied for clipping and bathing. Anyone will be lucky to own or ride Jack Frost!
