He is very quiet and easy to ride with a fancy handle and all the buttons. This elegant 15.1 hand 2016 gelding is sure to be a sale highlight. He has a presence about him that lives up to his outstanding pedigree. He’s royally bred, he is sired by the legendary Gunners Tinseltown (who earned over $300,000 in the NRHA) and whose offspring are making a mark in the reining world. Ranger’s dam, Starbucks Sassy Sara, won $13,500 in the NRHA and is by million-dollar NRHA sire Smart Starbuck. Ranger has spent his life in the best professional programs from reining to ranch riding to roping. Exceptionally versatile; he’s ready to go ANY direction – reining, ranch riding, roping, dressage, or enjoy him on the trails. Dual registered, Ranger has APHA and AQHA papers so the showing possibilities are endless. Soft in the face and broke the way a good one should be, Ranger is always pleasant to ride and eager to please. Automatic lead changes, pretty spins, big stops and flawless transitions – he’s ready to go to the show pen or the ranch and have fun. He’ll ride with or without a bridle, push a ball, chase a cow – there’s nothing he can’t do, and look good doing it. In addition to being a finished Reiner, Ranger has a solid foundation as a rope horse and is comfortable doing all the ranch chores. He’s easy to sort cattle on and quietly works gates. He’s got more whoa than go and is sensible when faced with new experiences. He’s experienced with riding in the rugged mountains of New Mexico, including crossing the Rio Grande and very sure footed in rough country. Ranger rides out confidently in a group or alone, he’s perfectly fine either way. Very accommodating to any level rider, Ranger easily adapts to whoever is riding him. His kind temperament will build the confidence of a novice rider. He will stay gentle with time off; it doesn’t matter if you ride every day or once a week. Ranger hauls very well, stalls anywhere, stands tied quietly at the trailer, and gets along great with other horses. He's an easy keeper and easy to be around with impeccable ground manners.
