DUNIT WITH A TOPSAIL aka Jackson is a big, beautiful, gentle 5 year old palomino gelding. He stands 15.2H and weighs in at 1,250 lbs. For two years, he has been my personal go-to guy for any task on the ranch, as well as in the arena. We use him to start, flag and pony all of our colts, gather cows and turn back in the cutting pen at home and at shows. He has been hauled and stalled at shows as well as used on the mountain for ranch work; he is an incredibly versatile horse! Jackson is very well balanced, which enables him to be a very smooth loper with a clean front end and a big stop. If you can ride, you will enjoy this horse immensely! He loves people and meets you at the gate every day to go to work. I have been training horses for over 25 years and he is by far my favorite using horse that I have ever had the opportunity to ride and train. His conformation is very correct and balanced with a beautiful head, great hip, straight legs and a perfect foot to support it all. He has a personality to match and color to boot! He moves off your leg with ease to open and close gates and has a soft, collected lope. He side passes naturally up to the mounting block to mount and rides off quiet. If you're looking to compete in the AQHA Ranch Versatility or Ranch Riding, here is your horse. Jackson lopes great circles, has good speed transitions, smooth departures, great rollbacks, stops, spins and works a cow! Jackson is ready to go have some fun in the show pen and take you to the pay window. We would classify Jackson as an intermediate rider's horse. However, he has a huge heart and aims to please so down the road, he could potentially be a beginner’s horse. We have started roping on this horse out of the box and he is taking to it like a duck to water! Speaking of water, he wades through all of it with ease.
